The “drawings are kind of like puppies” metaphor... (bear with me, I can explain..)

Or… choosing a drawing is somehow akin to choosing one puppy from a whole litter of puppies when what you’d really love is to take all of them home!   

(Seemed like a pretty delightful intro, which I can’t actually take full credit for…  If you’re out there oh-art-collector-who-said-it-to-me-in-this-unforgettable-way... props and sweetness to you!)

Okay, so what am I talking about? 

Right.  Focus. 

It’s holiday time.  And I don’t know about you, but it’s always a bit conflicting for me. 

I love giving presents, but I also tend to over-do it some years and end up stressing myself out. 

I’m simultaneously delighted, and inspired, when I come up with what feels like the perfect thing to give my loved ones. 

See for me, it has to both:  

a.  express how I feel, and

b.  fit in nicely with the things that they love. 

And boy, when those two things line up… yee-haw… It’s a Happier Holiday!
